The style and beauty of Paris’ architecture: the quais, ancient quarters, winding streets, and formal gardens, have enticed artists for centuries. From the age of 18 on I have been a regular visitor, and developed my own special relationship with that most elegant of cities. Eugene Atget’s early dawn photographs of Old Paris are of special inspiration to me, as are the great portraits of the city countless fine artists have recorded. It is the city I have painted most besides my hometownof New York, and I am planning a new series of Paris views imminently. Stay tuned!
